John Bosco the great Educator of Youth. The Book signifies the quest for Knowledge.

The Lotus flower represents purity of life necessary to achieve knowledge and virtue -the ideal of our life.

For preserving the purity of life and for acquiring Knowledge and Virtue we must be ready to bear up with courage and patience all the Sacrifices ( represented by the Cross ) that God may send us. Living up to this standard we are sure to attain Heaven, symbolized by the blue sky, the background colour of the emblem.

If we live our lives as good human beings, victory is ours, as represented by the wreath.
