The Salesians of Don Bosco arrived in India in 1906. At Tanjavur Tamil Nadu, the first Don Bosco institution was set up.Don Bosco institutions spread across the country have excelled in quality education, sports, cultural development and social awareness. They run hundreds of Primary, Middle and High Schools all over the country. They have over 30 colleges and one hundred Technical Institutes and hundreds of other centres scattered across the country, for non formal courses, agricultural development, relief and rehabilitation, literacy and shelters for children from the streets. They are recognized by the Government of India as the single largest provider of technical education in India, second only to the government. With our institutions spread across every corner of India we make national integration a way of life.
